I like drawing Cowtier!Ryan and Rygarsprite.

My headcanon is that yeah, he'd probably be weepy and such like Jadesprite (after having been dead), but he's also more or less the same too. I can imagine he wouldn't take very kindly to his friends getting pushed around by imps or anything else.
